Game Day Recycling
ND students are making it easier than ever for Irish fans to recycle at Notre Dame home football games. Thanks to the student-run Game Day Recycling program, all you have to do is look for the blue recycling containers around the tailgate lots. These blue 55-gallon drums are marked with a white recycling emblem and replace the trash containers normally set out for games.
New blue recycling bag self-dispensing units were placed in the tailgating lots prior to the home opener against Nevada. These units are made from refurbished newspaper dispensers and have been attached to the light posts. Tailgaters can take as many recycling bags as they need from these self-dispensers, and can then leave the full bags behind at their vehicles to be picked up during the game.
