Alumni Community Service Program

"One of the things I am most proud of at the University of Notre Dame is the tradition of service among the entire Notre Dame family."      Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C.

Every year thousands of Domers volunteer to serve Notre Dame and Notre Dame-related projects around the world. Through their generous gifts of time and energy, dedicated alumni demonstrate their "leadership in building a society that is at once more human and more divine," in fulfillment of the University's mission. Whether as a career services mentor, as a team leader for a local soup kitchen,or as a club officer, Notre Dame volunteers make a difference. We encourage you to volunteer with your fellow ND graduates. Here are some of the ways you can give back:

Get involved with your local ND Club. Become a club officer or help coordinate club events and programs.

Get involved with your ND class. Serve your class as an officer or a Reunion coordinator.

Get involved with one of the ND alumni communities:

Overview of Alumni Community Service Programs

Notre Dame graduates are actively engaged in service in their professional lives, in their neighborhoods and communities, children's schools, and churches. Nearly 70% of the 267 ND clubs worldwide organize service opportunities so club members can give back. The service department of the NDAA supports local ND clubs with programming and arranging nationwide initiatives like the Hesburgh Month of Service and Hospital Support Program.

In addition, the Notre Dame Alumni Association offers on-campus programming where alumni and friends are welcomed back to Notre Dame to engage in service activites to benefit the South Bend community. We have also developed service travel opportunities through campus partnerships and building relationships with international service organizations.
