Club Awards

Notre Dame Alumni Clubs are recognized for their efforts each year at the annual Alumni Senate in April. The award-winning clubs are selected during Senate weekend by the Alumni Clubs Committee of the Alumni Board based on recommendations of Board Regional Directors and Assistant Directors of Alumni Clubs. Criteria considered during the selection process is based on what we call the "Six Cs" for clubs - Camaraderie, Catholic Spirituality, Current Students, Community Service, Continuing Education and Communication. The awards include:

Charles F. Lennon, Jr. Award
This award is earned by an Alumni Club whose level of performance over a period of years in all areas of club activities merits special recognition. This award is given as merited.

Outstanding Club Award
This award is presented to one club in each size classification for excelling above all others in support of the University's missions and in service to its local constituents. An Outstanding Club trophy is awarded to the winner in each category.

Program Excellence Award
These awards are presented to clubs judged to have outstanding overall programs by the Alumni Association. Minimum criteria for the award vary by club size and include:

Special Citation
This award is presented to clubs for events or programs noted for exceptional success, attendance, or uniqueness. There is no limit on the number of clubs receiving Special Citations. A patch is provided to each winning club for display on the club's pennant.

There is no limit on the number of clubs receiving Program Excellence Awards. A patch is provided to each winning club for display on the club's pennant.
