Rosenthal Award

 

Established in 1995, the Richard A. Rosenthal Award is conferred on a former board member for exemplar activity and support of the Alumni Association.

The 2009 Rosenthal Award winner is:

Paul A. Geary Jr. ’65

With this award, Paul A. Geary Jr. ’65 is honored for his exemplary activity and support of the Alumni Association. Geary was president of the ND Club of Philadelphia from 1983-1984. He served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors from 1988-1991, on the Notre Dame Senior Alumni Board of Directors from 2000-2005, and he was chairman of the NDSA Board for two years. Geary returned to the Alumni Board in 2003 as the Senior Alumni director.

Geary currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI), and has been working with the Alumni Association on a partnering arrangement with this organization. Geary and his wife, Ann Marie, are blessed with six children, four of whom are ND graduates: Paul III ’88, Sean ’90, Brenda ’94, and Brendan ’02. Their daughter, Missy, is a 1993 graduate of Saint Mary’s College. Geary and his wife have endowed the Chuck and Joan Lennon “Family Eucharistic Lecture Series” within the Alumni Association.
