Family Rafting August 3-August 8, 2008
Imagine lying on a beautiful white sand beach, set at the base of towering mountains, with no sign of human civilization in view; swimming in calm pools of refreshing water; no cell phones ringing, no e-mails to respond to. This is our reward each afternoon on our whitewater rafting adventure, after having run some of the West’s most exciting whitewater on the Salmon River in Idaho. Class III and IV rapids, spectacular scenery, excellent fishing, and these amazing beach camps highlight our summer rafting adventure. For five days, we’ll float the river with professional river guides whose knowledge of the river is surpassed only by their passion for the outdoors and adventure. Each night we arrive to our idyllic beach camps, where we enjoy delicious dutch oven cooking and a comfortable night’s sleep under Idaho’s starlit sky.
$ Approximately $1,599 per person, plus airfare and taxes, $1,399 for children 7–16. We have two departures available—a July departure for young alumni and alumni who are “young at heart,” and a special August family departure, suitable for children ages 7 and up.
