The Haiti Program of Notre Dame, headquartered at the Hospital Sainte Croix (HSC) in Lèogâne, Haiti, works closely -- and in collaboration -- with several hospitals throughout Haiti.
Next spring, the HSC is inviting Notre Dame medical professionals to join Dr. Emil T. Hofman and ND’s Haiti Program Director Fr. Tom Streit, C.S.C., for a three-day visit in the hopes of building relationships with the professionals, both at the hospital and at the Notre Dame Haiti Program. The visit will also teach visiting ND medical professionals about the vast medical need in Haiti with the hope that these professionals will return to perform much needed procedures and surgeries.
Three trips are scheduled for spring of 2008: Feb. 3–6, 2008; March 2–5, 2008; and April 6–9, 2008. Transportation, food and a safe residence will be provided.
