Rector Positions Open For 2008-2009

Accept the challenge. Become a rector in one of Notre Dame’s 27 single-sex residence halls and participate in a rich tradition of ministry at the heart of student life. Each hall is a community of faith and learning where students are encouraged to integrate the intellectual, spiritual and social dimensions of their education. A staff of graduate student assistant rectors and senior resident assistants supports this ministry.

The Office of Student Affairs is now accepting applications for rector positions for the 2008-2009 academic year. The successful candidates will possess Master's degrees and a minimum of three years experience in a related field, such as pastoral ministry, education, student personnel or counseling.

There is a possibility for additional part-time teaching or administrative responsibilities at the University, if desired.

The University strongly encourages applications from members of minority groups and others who will enhance and diversify our staff.

Starting salary in 2007-08 was $30,000 plus benefits. Rectors also receive furnished living quarters designed for one person and a partial meal plan.
