Every July, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, gazelles and zebras migrate from the Serengeti to the greener pastures of Kenya. And every July they are followed along the route by hungry predators including lions and leopards.
You too can follow the Great Migration – one of the most impressive natural events worldwide – this summer as ND Alumni Travel and biology professor David Lodge take you to Kenya for an expedition to the Masai Mara Reserve.
Home of the “big five” (lions, elephants, leopards, rhinoceros and buffalos), the Masai Mara Reserve is also the site of some of Kenya’s finest tented camps, where we will be spending our nights.
In the morning, prepare to explore the grasslands and the riverbanks with the most knowledgeable tour guides in the region, and our host, Prof. Lodge, an expert witness for Congress and government agencies on ecosystems and environmental policy.
Mark your calendar, because from July 29- Aug. 8, 2008, you will be enjoying the ultimate African safari experience. For more information about the “Kenya Migration” expedition, click here.
