From Mourning to Morning

Throughout life, loss confronts us: broken relationships, failed dreams, and final goodbyes. Navigating through grief can feel overwhelming, and often we are challenged in ways we never anticipated.

That’s why the Alumni Association is offering a workshop called “From Mourning to Morning: Working Through Death of a Spouse or Divorce.” The workshop, which will be held on campus from April 11-13, offers a safe and supportive community, as well as discussions led by facilitators and presenters who have suffered a loss of a spouse through death or divorce.

You know the value of family when you are most vulnerable. Come home to your Notre Dame family in your time of need. Let the sacred places on campus--the Grotto, the Basilica, the lakes--comfort you in your journey through grief.

Concurrent sessions will be held to address the particular concerns of those suffering the loss of a loved one and those working through a divorce.

If you are apprehensive about this experience, know that past participants felt the same way. Despite their apprehension, people took the risk and discovered a weekend filled with hope--a turning point in their lives.
