Alumni College

The Alumni Association welcomed back alumni and friends to the 2008 Alumni College academic program in June.  Participants experienced campus life once again as they stayed in the dorm, studied with our faculty on a variety of subjects, ate in South Dining Hall, and caught up on the new developments around campus.

Courses offered during this year’s program included:

  • Hamlet by Shakespeare, led by Paul Rathburn, Ph.D., and Father Gene Smith
  • Mary and the Catholic Tradition, led by Timothy Matonina, Ph.D. M.Div.
  • Irish History and Literature, taught by Mary and James Smyth.

During the evening, the group listened to several lectures from the Hesburgh Lecture Series and participated in a Universal Notre Dame Celebration.
