NDAA Welcomes New Associate Executive Director
Elizabeth (Dolly) Duffy ’84 will join the Alumni Association as associate executive director, replacing Chris Bellairs. She also will serve as assistant vice president for University Relations. [Full Story]

ND Appoints New Science Dean
University President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., has appointed Gregory Crawford as dean of the College of Science and a professor of physics, effective July 1. Currently, Crawford is dean of engineering and a professor of physics and engineering at Brown University. [Full Story]
ND Business Program Ranks Third in Nation
ND’s Mendoza College of Business jumped four spots—from No. 7 to No. 3—in BusinessWeek magazine’s annual ranking of undergraduate business programs. The results were announced in the magazine’s March 10 edition. [Full Story]
Focusing on Foreign Languages and Cultures
This fall, ND will open the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CSLC), which will be headquartered in DeBartolo Hall. Four large classrooms on the third floor are undergoing renovations to create the University’s foreign language learning and internationalism hub. [Full Story]

The National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities recently presented University President Emeritus Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., with the 22nd annual Henry Paley Memorial Award in a ceremony in Washington, D.C. June 15-18 (Campers stay on campus in the residence halls.)

Watch your mailbox for the new alumni newsletter, The Echoes, which replaces the Alumni Newsletter.
The Echoes combines alumni, student and faculty profiles with in-depth features about high-level University initiatives as well as news about current campus happenings. It also serves as a reference guide for Alumni Association resources and a reminder about upcoming events.
Scheduled to be published three times a year, the first issue of The Echoes will mail at the end of March.
