Kids in grades 6-12 can train like ND athletes at the University of Notre Dame 10th annual Strength and Speed Camp. The camp takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on April 19 (prior to the Blue-Gold Game) in the Guglielmino Athletics Complex. Coaches are also welcome to attend.
The camp is led by Ruben Mendoza, ND’s director of strength and conditioning. Mendoza, along with the rest of the Notre Dame strength staff, will address topics such as principles and techniques of strength training, flexibility, agility, speed development, strength training, power development, plyometrics, sport-specific drills and nutrition.
Those who register by mail prior to April 16 will receive a discounted rate of $45 for athletes and $30 for coaches. In-person registration on April 19 is $55 for athletes and $30 for coaches. Group rates are also available.
