is it about Notre Dame that makes it so special? Countless books have tried to explain its mystique; some have claimed there’s no way
to explain it. Her alumni, however, know.
It may be a single event; a particular mentor; a friend or even a seemingly unimportant moment. Whatever the reason, Notre Dame’s significance—her endless influence—stays with all who’ve lived, loved and learned at her campus.
Rather than try to explain how Notre Dame affected her students, the Alumni Association has asked alumni to tell their stories themselves. Hundreds of alums, eager to share their memories—eager to relive their times on campus—responded to our call for stories. And we are pleased to be able to share these stories with the entire Notre Dame family through the book We Are ND: The Best Years of Our Lives.
By now, you should have received the brochure for We Are ND. While we only spotlighted a few stories in this brochure, the book includes dozens of photos and memories of alumni ranging from class years in the 1930s all the way to present day.
