This 12-day tour begins with one night in Nice, the “Queen of the French Riviera.” Continue to Arles, capital of the Provence region, where you will board your elegant river cruise ship. Spend time sightseeing in Arles, Avignon, with its bridge made famous by the popular song. Also, visit Lyon to see the Roman remains, museums, and Renaissance architecture. As you cruise northward up the Rhône and Saône Rivers, take time to explore on your own and taste the grand wines and sumptuous cuisines of the region. Disembark in Chalon-sur-Saône and make a stop in Beaune in the center of the Burgundy region before continuing north to Paris. Guided sightseeing acquaints you with France’s capital, where you will spend two nights.
