Begin your discovery of Haiti by flying into the historical capital of Port-au-Prince and driving to the site of the Notre Dame Haiti Program in Leogane. Spend the first two days in Leogane performing service with the Haiti Program and the Children’s Nutrition Program. Your third day will take you to the resort city of Jacmel, where you can indulge in Haiti’s incredible beaches, fine beach cuisine, and perhaps even a hike to view the waterfalls in the area. On the fourth and fifth day, you will drive back to the capital to volunteer with the Basil Moreau School, run by the Congregation of the Holy Cross, and an orphanage run by Sisters of Charity. While in Port-au-Prince, you will be staying at the Hotel Oloffson, which has been frequented by artists, authors, and celebrities over the years.
