Hospital Support Program in the news! Read the article featured in the Summer 2009 ND Magazine!

What?

The Hospital Support Program is a service provided by the Notre Dame Club Network and the Alumni Association. The program was founded by the Notre Dame Senior Alumni and assists members of the Notre Dame Family when hospitalized while away from home—whether planned in advance or the result of an accident or illness while traveling.

Some Notre Dame Clubs may choose to offer assistance to members of the Notre Dame Family within their local area who are hospitalized, confined to a nursing home, or who are homebound.

Who?

This program extends to all of the Notre Dame Family including alumni, students and their families, UND employees, and friends of the University.

How?

Call the toll free number and be connected with a Notre Dame Alumni Association staff member who will put you in touch with the right ND club. Or simply send us an email.

What kind of support is offered?

The Hospital Support Program offers non-medical and non-financial support. Examples include:

• spending time with the patient and the family

• arranging a visit from a priest

• advising the family on where to stay or to shop

• freeing the caregiver so that he or she can take a break
