Trip Spotlight: Adventures by Disney

Notre Dame Alumni Travel is now sponsoring family-oriented trips through "Adventures by Disney." In 2008, we are offering "Emerald Isle" (June 29-July 6), a city and countryside journey through Ireland, and "Spirit of America" (July 31-Aug. 7), a historical tour through Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg, Va. Both trips cater to family activities but aim to appeal to adults as well. Visit our website at http://alumni.nd.edu/travel for more information on "Adventures by Disney."

Tips for "3:1:1" carry-on traveling

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recently issued new guidelines for acceptable carry-on traveling. Due to security issues, the TSA now regulates carry-on of items such as toothpaste, shampoo, and lotion. Travelers are required to pack these items in containers no larger than 3 ounces. All of these containers must fit in a 1-quart plastic bag. Each passenger is allotted 1-quart bag, and it must be presented as you pass through security.

  • 3 oz containers or less for liquid items
  • 1 quart bag for all 3 oz containers
  • 1 bag per person

TSA asks that all travelers follow the "3-1-1" guidelines in order to ensure quick and efficient security checks.

Check out TSA’s website for more info

Hear from Notre Dame Travelers
"Our guide was an excellent host. She quickly knew everyone’s name and consistently provided special attention to those requiring it. Our hosts, Dave and Eileen Woods, were gracious and so much fun. We had one of the best vacations we’ve ever had and would definitely travel with Notre Dame again."
