Alumni Association to Publish 2010 Alumni Directory
We are pleased to announce that work has begun on the new 2010 Notre Dame Alumni Directory. Scheduled for release late this fall, this limited-edition volume will be the most complete and up-to-date reference of more than 120,000 alumni worldwide.
The Alumni Association is working with Harris Connect, a leading alumni directory publisher, to produce the directory. Beginning in April 2009, alumni will start receiving emails and/or postcards from Harris asking you to update and verify profile information for inclusion in the directory. When contacted, please take a few moments to verify that we have complete and accurate information.
The directory will be sorted into three easy-to-use sections. To make networking easy with other alumni, we will be including residence and business information, as well as e-mail addresses.
Both hardbound and softbound editions will be available. A CD-ROM version will also be available for purchase either individually or combined with the print version.
Privacy Policy
The directory is for official University of Notre Dame and Alumni Association use, and also for individual communication of a personal nature between alumni listed within the directory. Use of this directory for any other purpose, including but not limited to, reproducing and storing in a retrieval system by any means, electronic or mechanical; photocopying; or using the addresses or other information contained in this directory for any private, commercial or political mailing is strictly prohibited and is in direct violation of copyright and constitutes intellectual property theft and misappropriation of University property.

Q: I received a phone call from a company asking for my personal information. They said they were working on a directory for Notre Dame. Is this a legitimate project?
A: The company we have partnered with to produce our new alumni directory is Harris Connect. Harris Connect is an industry leader in producing and publishing alumni directories.
Q: I want to verify my information is correct. How can I do this?
A: There are a few ways to accomplish this. If you have received an email or postcard with a telephone number, you may call to speak with a representative, who will walk you through the verification process. If you have received an email with a personalized URL, you may go to the online site to check your information. If you have questions, you may call Harris’s customer service desk at (800) 877-6554 or at customerservice@harrisconnect.com
Q: What questions will I be asked when I call to update my information?
A: You will be asked the following questions:
• Full Name
• Maiden Name
• Professional suffix
• Home address
• Home phone
• Preferred email

Q: Can I choose for some or all of my information to not be printed in the directory?
A: Absolutely. You may tell the Harris representative what information you would prefer to have excluded when you call to update/verify your information. You may also communicate this information to the Harris customer service desk or to the Alumni Association. As a standard, the following information will be printed in the Directory:
• Full name including your surname at Notre Dame - if different from your current last name
• Degree/Year
• Home mailing address
• Home phone
• Business address
• Business phone
• Preferred email address
• Occupation
If you wish not to have certain information printed in the directory, you may choose to have specific details omitted.
Q: Who will be included in the directory?
A: All living alumni. If alumni request not to be included, we will honor these requests.
Q: I ordered a directory over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?
A: Call the Harris customer service help desk at (800) 877-6554, and they will take care of this for you.
Q: When will I receive my directory?
A: The new directory will be distributed in late November/early December 2009.
Q: Can anyone purchase a directory?
A: The Notre Dame 2010 Alumni Directory is restricted for sale only to Notre Dame alumni.
