May 25–June 3, 2010
Join us on a remarkable voyage of discovery aboard the deluxe M.S. Le Diamant from the ancient Norman port of Honfleur to Scotland’s historic capital of Edinburgh. Cruise along the verdant shorelines of northern France and southern England and around the misty, legend-haunted Highlands and Isles of Scotland. Walk along the hallowed sands of Normandy’s wind-swept beaches, where Allied forces landed valiantly on D-Day in 1944. Admire the soaring grace of the medieval Abbey of Mont-St-Michel, one of the great pilgrimage destinations of medieval Europe. Experience the history and charm of the Cornish port of Penzance; view the architectural and cultural treasures of Dublin; and immerse yourself in the stark beauty and solitude of Scotland’s Inner Hebrides and Orkney Islands. We also invite you to enhance your travel experience with an exclusive Paris pre-program option in “the City of Lights,” and/or an Edinburgh post-program option in “the Athens of the North.”
